本日高校野球の鳥取県大会決勝が行われており、倉吉市営球場にいってきました。
鳥取商業がサヨナラで甲子園を決めましたね。
近年、甲子園では理学療法士が待機して、選手の試合前後の処置やストレッチ指導、熱中症への対処などのサポートにあたっています。それに伴い、鳥取県大会でも去年から理学療法士が同じような取り組みを始めました。希望する高校には、個別の選手のケア、チーム全体のストレッチ指導、熱中症への対処などをしています。
甲子園でのサポートにあたっている理学療法士が、「選手たちの中から必ず指導者が出る。だから、スポーツ前後のコンディショニングが当たり前になるような意識付けをしたい」と話していました。
選手たちが、選手たちの後輩たちが、選手たちの教え子たちが、少しでも体のケアに関心を持ってくれるといいなと思っています。
